My First Project in Web.burza

~ 2nd December 2004. · 21:03 CET · permanent link · printer friendly ~

Promised some cool stuff few weeks ago and here is my first web site for my new employer web.burza. This is micro site—just the front page, a sort of standalone advertisement. My fellow colleague Phoenix made illustrations and branding and i’ve done XHTML, CSS and JavaScripting.

If you care, drop me a line about it…

Update

I’ve done some testing in IE 6.0 and it is proved that Dean Edwards’ solution to a flickering problem really works (look the frame on your right in IE 6.0). Effect and concept of the problematic widget (images of the staff) at this web site is inspired by Adaptive Path web site, which is designed by Douglas Bowman, but i suppose that at the time of launching Adaptive Path there was no solution available, so the users on slower connections may experience flickering.

  1. Super je. Samo mi nije jasno zašto ti uvik koristiš entity-e za hr slova a stranice su ti ka fol utf-8? Ne podržava ti ih text editor? Skini Code-Genie, EmEditor, Notepad2, Programmers Notepad 2 itd…

  2. Ja sam isto primijetio utf-8…
Začudilo me i par praznih redaka na vrhu koda :?

Anyways, the site looks sweet. Everything is nice + clean, just the way I like it! As if I’ve expected anything less from you guys :)
    Cheerio!

  3. I work on a different keyboards (with different character sets) and that’s why i replace Croatian characters—‘č’, ‘ć’, ‘đ’, ‘š’ and ‘ž’ to match UTF-8. It’s the easiest way and the most compatible with older browsers. It’s not of any difficulty as i set Macro in my code editor to replace those characters.

  4. Bravo decki, lepo izgleda…
