Minor update of the Typetester

~ 27th September 2005. · 14:24 CET · permanent link · printer friendly ~

Thanks to the valuable feedback on Typetester last week, some minor improvements were made. Here’s the list:

  • a few spelling errors were correct (there’s a possibility there will be more of these, so let me know)
  • text is now sized with ems, instead of pixels (remember that the base font size is still 10px, so 1em is 10px, 1.2em is 12px and so on)
  • negative tracking down to -10px
  • color picker is now more subtle and the icon for toggling it on and off was added
  • various code tweaks here and there

More to come…

  1. Thanks very much for a great tool.

  2. Indeed, this is a wonderful tool! I noticed today, however, that the CSS doesn’t seem to be loading for the application…

    Thanks again!

  3. Hi Marko,

Thanks a lot for the cool app! I intend on using this a lot in the future. I did notice today, though, that Typetester is not coming up with its CSS file. I’m sure it’ll be a quick fix! Thanks again for the great work!

    Regards,
    Matt

  4. Ops… yes, CSS isn’t getting imported for some reason :(

Plus, i believe someone have already mentioned this, but i think Colourmod is a much more suitable color picker for Typetester… ;)

  5. Regarding the CSS issue – the page has to be refreshed with Ctrl + F5.

  6. Maybe not the appropriate place, but - great tool! (I even linked to it from the UITest.com “Specials” section.)

  7. Jens, it’s always okay to receive props from the respected colleagues : )

  9. Wonderful tool!

Something technical – with Opera 8.5 it’s not possible to get colors through type-in.

Something for the future of this great tool? Would be nice to have the possibility to adjust the width of the columns via type-in.

    cheers teebee
