The italics for the web with and without the font smoothing
Just a quick reminder to all of the screen typesetters – not everyone have font smoothing enabled/adjusted on their systems. With the Regulars, we can’t do much about it, we simply have to use them. However, you might want to consider alternatives to use of the Italics for the body text set at smaller sizes. See the screenshot.

Well, i think it’s time that Microsoft launch their new OS with the Clear-Type on by default…
When I did it, the first time, it feels a little strange, like blurry…, but then, I can’t be without it…!

Hi, I am a happy user of Typetester. I didn’t use ClearType so far and after reading this article, now seriously considering. Because I know once I start, after short adjusting time, I will never be able to go back to standard!
And as you say there are still many people not using it and we should still consider them. Good reminder!

I’m usually not one to beat the Apple drum but I don’t remember the type being that unclear. I know it over anti-aliases a bit but are you sure thats the default behaviour?
